Benefits of Super campaign
5 December 2011
Industry SuperFunds have launched an advertising campaign promoting the benefits of super. The new campaign highlights the fact that superannuation savings will provide the average Australian with better living standards in retirement than they would have on the Age Pension alone.
TWUSUPER, an Industry SuperFund, supports the campaign which highlights the benefits of super to Australian workers.
The campaign contains three different television commercials which have already started screening across Australia. The commercials will run for three weeks from November 13 and on top of promoting the benefits of Australian superannuation, will communicate a range of facts.
Super facts
- “Before super was an entitlement, most working Australians had no super. But typical Australians starting work now could retire with around $350,267 (based on assumptions by SuperRatings).*”
- “Before super was an entitlement for most Australian workers, only 32% had superannuation, but now over 94% do.**”
- “Super helps Australians enjoy their extra years in retirement. In 1975, the average Australian could expect to live to 73. Today, it’s 82.**”
